Zombie Apocalypse! (Week 4)

"They're on their way", "Our time is short", "Everybody run for your lives!" What would go through your mind if somebody said that zombies were taking over?
If i was stuck here in Washburn and zombies were coming I would totally flip out! I would also try to be calm and strategic though, in hopes that i could overcome my inevitable fate.
First, I would find out where the main group of zombies were at, leaving Chicago, so I would know how much time I had to prepare. I have 10 hours to get everything together and come up with a plan.  I'd go to the store and get as much food, drinks, and any other necessities I'd need to survive until the intrusion was over. Then, I'd gather up my entire family, Evan, an Jimmy (The people that matter to me). None of them were already zombies yet. We would try to flee town, but the zombies are closing in, and all exits are blocked off. Into the basement of my house we would hide, after locking all doors and boarding up windows. We'd stake out silently until we could no longer sense danger, then someone would go check to see if the coast was clear. Gathered in the corner, with a gun in each hand, we'd all be ready if anything happened. When somebody would check the streets of town, the'yd be empty and our home and family would be safe.
The zombies walk on, and the fate of those individuals shall be in their own hands..

My Fortune (Week 3)

I go to Chinese buffets very often, and my fortune cookie never seems to satisfy me. I start to wonder, and imagine what the perfect one would say?.. Like: "Follow Your Heart, and Good Will Come", or "Don't give up on your goal, success is only a dream away." Fortune cookies should be more encouraging rather than Just saying what is going to happen. Fortunes are just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo people write, so why not use it to motivate people?

Teenage Myths (Week 2)

A lot of adults make comments about our generation, and how corrupt we are. A lot of things they say are relatively true, but they also have some misconceptions.
Parents claim that we are becoming less social, since cell phone popularity has increased so much. But really, kids are being more social, because they can contact each other easily. Instead of walking around the town for an hour trying to find your friends, you just type a few words and there ya go! Teens make new friends online all the time with social networks and chat rooms. (Although, doing that does put kids at a higher risk of meeting predators...)
Studies are also saying that more kids are becoming obese. They accuse television and fast food restaurants. I agree with those studies, because you see more and more kids now a days who are overweight. They're getting consumed in all of the new technology that is invented, they don't care about exercising or staying healthy. TV displays a lot of incriminating shows that teach influence kids on what is right and wrong. People are right when they say our generation is corrupt and unmotivated. I work at McDonald's, and I notice a lot of people who come in more than twice a week. Even parents bring their kids in multiple times a week. That obviously can't be healthy for them.
So in conclusion... Some things have changed from our parents generation to ours, but they're not all bad... It's what separates us as individuals from our parents.
